The Kung Fu Training Hall provides a platform for individuals to embark on their journey into Chinese martial arts, commonly known as Kung Fu (功夫) or Wushu (æ¦æœ¯). In Cantonese, these are referred to as Gong Fu and Mou Seut, respectively. Kung Fu encompasses a wide range of variations, often influenced by the region of origin, and is typically categorized into two main streams: internal and external schools.
The Kung Fu style taught at this platform is the esteemed external system called Choy Lee Fut, which has gained worldwide acclaim and is now among the most renowned and practiced forms of Chinese martial arts.
However, finding high-quality instruction is not always easy. Locating a qualified instructor or master, especially through online platforms, can be a daunting task. At the Kung Fu Training Hall, we aim to address this challenge by offering a user-friendly website and delivering top-notch technical content under the guidance of the renowned Kung Fu expert Rolando Martins. With over 40 years of experience and authorship of several published books, Rolando Martins ensures a valuable and enriching learning experience for our students.
The technical content varies depending on the chosen program, each with its own specific objectives and technical curriculum. The training programs are customized for different levels, catering to both beginners and advanced practitioners, depending on the program’s emphasis.
All instruction is delivered through video lessons designed to be easily followed. Occasionally, PDFs will be available for download, depending on the program being pursued. Additionally, most of the content is filmed in slow motion, enabling you to observe details that might otherwise be missed.
The learning process at the Kung Fu Training Hall is based on thematic courses, which are focused on specific topics and are usually acquired all at once, providing immediate access to the purchased course for the enrolled individual. However, some programs operate as long-term training under the attentive instruction of the instructor, similar to being enrolled in an academy and paying a monthly fee. The duration of the courses can vary, lasting for 12, 24, or 36 months, depending on the specific program.
The courses are thoughtfully crafted for both Kung Fu practitioners and enthusiasts, regardless of age or experience. However, if you have no prior experience, it is essential to start with the basic courses, which are designed specifically for beginners and are much less technically demanding. After completing the beginner level, you can then progress to the next stage.
Please note that enrollment in certain advanced programs requires completion of the basic courses. Additionally, some of these courses may be restricted to the public and may require in-person training with me for at least 5 years.
To start your journey and access the lessons, you’ll first need to register by clicking the blue button link “Take the course” on the chosen course page. After that, log in with your credentials, complete the payment, and you’re good to go. Once these steps are done, you can begin following the lessons and take advantage of the exceptional content provided.
